CARD Alert: Cypress Creek Cafe Donations
The devastating fire at the Cypress Creek Cafe has changed lives and changed our community.
We can all help. There are now several funds established to support our local victims.
Among them are:
- The Burning Love account at Ozona Bank, for the 54 employees of the Cafe who lost their jobs. Checks may be written to "Burning Love" and dropped off at the bank, 101 River Road, or sent to P.O. Box 528, Wimberley, Texas 78676.
- A Go Fund Me account, Friends of Cypress Creek Cafe, established by John Brown, Program Director of Wimberley Valley Radio, to help owners Trish and Randy Uselton and their employees. www.gofundme.com/friends-of-cypress-creek-cafe. Funds raised here go to the Ozona Bank account.
- Donations are also being accepted at Wimberley Valley Radio, 111 Old Kyle Rd., Suite 108 and at Ace Hardware, 14307 Ranch Road 12.
Like past floods and fires that have hit Wimberley so hard, this fire changes our whole community, which can never be completely restored to the way we knew and loved it. That is nothing compared to the damage done to the people directly involved. Our support and contributions are small things we can do to help.
Thank you to the organizers of these funds: The Barnabas Connection, My Neighbor’s Keeper, Ozona Bank, Wimberley Ace Hardware, Wimberley Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Wimberley Valley Radio.
