The attempt continues to turn Wimberley's downtown wastewater system, and control of Wimberley's future, over to a private company – Aqua Texas/Aqua America – with a terrible national reputation. So do efforts to frighten the public that the city system will pollute the Blanco River, which is not true.

CARD is continuing to gather petitions to give to City Council. It asks Councilmembers who still appear determined to hand our future over to a private company to move forward with the approved city system, and to not give Aqua Texas the keys to Wimberley's future. The petition appears on page 8 in the March 23, 2017 Wimberley View (both online and print), and also is online at CARD's website, hayscard.org We encourage you to use the petition from the View or download it here, make copies, have your friends sign it, and send it to CARD, PO Box 2905, Wimberley, TX 78676. We will give copies of the petitions to City Council.

Your joint efforts to tell City Council you did not want a Tractor Supply in Wimberley were successful. But it will all be wasted if we now give Aqua Texas free rein to invite in far more development and unwanted change to our city.
