Wimberley City Council will soon make a crucial final decision on the central Wimberley sewer system: whether to continue with the planned Wimberley Wastewater Treatment Plant, or give the wastewater, and with it future control of development in the city, over to Aqua Texas.
Citizens Alliance for Responsible Development (CARD) believes this decision will have a major and permanent impact on everyone who lives in the Wimberley Valley. If citizens of Wimberley and central Hays County fully understand the many implications of Aqua Texas gaining control of Wimberley, they will strongly oppose the Aqua Texas option.
CARD will host a Wimberley Town Hall meeting Thursday, Jan. 12 at 6:30 p.m., at the Wimberley Community Center, 14068 Ranch Rd 12. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Come hear why CARD strongly supports the City wastewater treatment plan, which will greatly benefit Wimberley, and why the Aqua Texas option will benefit only Aqua Texas investors and special interests, bring uncontrolled growth to Wimberley Valley and delay the clean-up of our waterways.
Mark your calendars and bring your questions and concerns.
Please forward this CARDtalk to your friends and neighbors, especially people you know who live inside the Wimberley city limits.
